Switch between two open docx

I can't easily switch between two open docx (Macbook Pro Sierra).  I have to maneuver something on the formatting bars, page centering for example, and then I can work the actual document.  Same to go back to the other docx. Any ideas?

If you are using Pages, have you tried using command-tilde(~)?
