battery draining quickly with mac os 10.13

I upgraded to mac os 10.13 successfully.

I noticed that the battery is draining faster than before. Likewise it seems to be running warmer than it was in the past.

I tried resetting the SMC and memory but no noticeable change.

Is apple working on a fix?

If they do have a fix will it be available like normal maintenance?
