Nikon D3100 and Image Capture

Dear Apple Communities,

My question, as you saw above, is with regards to the application, "Image Capture" on Macs. I have a Nikon D3100 camera, and I am attempting to use Image Capture's "Take Picture" feature with it. Six months ago, before updating  to macOS Sierra, I managed to use my camera with the application without any issues. Now, I am unable to select the ""take picture" option, and the only information given on the matter is that the device is not compatible with Image Capture. However, this is certainly not the case, given that I have indeed used the very same camera with the same computer and managed to employ the feature.

Any advice on how to correct the issue, or perhaps further information on what is causing it? (Perhaps the update to macOS changed some compatibility parameters?)
