Switching from WPA2 Enterprise (work) to WPA2 P...

My MacBook running macOS Sierra is configured to my work wifi that is WPA2 Enterprise with a certificate. I shut the lid and let it sleep. When I get home, I open it. Even though it has my home wifi network saved, it doesn't autoconnect. I can choose "Join Other Network" and manually enter the information (which is silly, it's already there), or reboot.

I'd prefer not to reboot, as I'd like to know the cause for this behavior.
