Touch Bar Dashboard button
Hi there!
A feature I loved and used constantly on the old MacBook Pro is the dashboard button to quickly check something on the dasboard overlay. The button worked in 3 ways.
1. Push and release: Dashboard opens
2. Push and release while dashboard is open: Dashboard closes
3. Push and hold: Dashboards opens, stays open, then closes when you release the button
The Dashboard button on in the Touch Bar only does function (1).
Example why this is not good: When I open the dashboard, I often want to check something in the dictionary. The cursor is already in the input field of the dictionary. So my workflow used to be:
Hit dashboard key -> type word -> look at output -> Hit dashboard key again
I don't know how I can adapt it to the limited way the virtual button works now. I would have to
Hit virtual Dashboard key -> Use trackpad to place cursor in input field -> type word -> look at output -> use trackpad to click outside of dashboard widget (removing the cursor from the input field).
Is there a way to make the virtual Dashboard button work as the physical button did?
