I am having issues with my Apple id password not being accepted by Messages or FaceTime or the App store, the latter of which means that I haven't been able to download or install the last 6-7 releases of OS X. And that means that the latest version I have is El Capitan 10.11.6. I have downloaded 10.12.1 and 10.12.6, but both say I need to first install 10.12 and I cannot find the 10.12 download anywhere. Can someone please help me find this download so I can then update to 10.12.6? I am hoping that installing Sierra will reset my Messages, FaceTime, and App store login processes so I can move on with my life.

The full installer is only available through the Mac App Store. Since you can’t log into it, you need to either download the installer on another Mac or find a different solution.

Well, I can't even find the original 10.12 on this page, which tells me it's not even accessible no matter whose computer I get it from.

Download the installer normally, quit it when it opens, and then either drag-copy the installer to an external drive or use a product such as DiskMaker X to create an installation thumbdrive from it.

Am I downloading the installer for Sierra 10.12 or 10.12.6 or the whole Sierra?
