In comparison to my girlfriend's Macbook 12", my brand new MacBook Pro 13" is slow. I have a 2016 i5 2ghz 256gb 8gb ram. Load times are slow especially in Safari when opening a web page. Logging in is the same story. On my girlfriends macbook 12, logging in takes 2 secs. Mine loads I don't know what (just a plain bar being filled from left to right, you know the usual Apple bar on any device.) When I run a few apps at the same time, it runs slow and seems to be lagging.

So what can cause that? Any settings changes I need to make?
