I originally was struggling to get my Thunderbolt ethernet adapter to work, but I seemed to have solved that problem thanks to other Apple forums. Now, I can only connect to certain websites. It seems like some (mostly major sites, like CNN, Google, Wikipedia, and Apple) load up just fine on the ethernet connection, but most others don't (including other major sites, like ESPN, Amazon, and Twitter) don't load at all.
All sites, as best as I can tell, work when using wifi.
Things I've tried so far:
- Disabling IPv6
- Entering the "sudo softwareupdate --background" command
- Deleting and re-creating my network location
I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro, late 2016 model, 2.2 GHz, 10.12.6.
