Force empty trash? (10.12.6)

If I remember correctly this function was removed when El Capitan arrived and ever since I've been having issues when trying to delete files that were used on a PC as well. Something about they're being used by some progam, which is simply not the case. I work in games, being quite a loner on a Mac, so it's an issue that constantly reappears and usually I just deal with it by googling that terminal code which finally resolves this. I was about to do it once again, but I'm getting quite frustrated with this situation... is there no easy way to empty my trash? Apple suggests using the Recovery Tool, which is even worse and very time consuming.

I love working on a Mac, but this is the one thing that really bothers me. Besides that startup feature which causes random programs like Mail (which I don't even use) to pop up, but that's another story...

I'd appreciate any help or suggestion on this. Thanks!

As for now... let's google again for that code.

I suggest you don't do that. That's how people mess up their Macs and render them unbootable.

Well, been doing that for a little over 2 years on a constant basis. No issues so far...

And otherwise my trash bin would be filled with thousands of files, rendering my Mac unusable for work.

The link you posted is what I was referring to and it's just not a solution in a work situation like mine. Thanks nonetheless for writing!
