Reinstalling iTunes 12.4.3 errors

I'm not a fan of iTunes 12.7 so I've uninstalled it and I'm trying to install the previous version for Windows 10. I've downloaded the install file for iTunes 12.4.3 from Apple, I used "Run as Administrator".  The installer itself runs successfully but when I go to run iTunes I get an error:
"The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created with a newer version of iTunes"

So, I went into C:\Users\*****\Music\iTunes and removed the offending iTunes Library.itl file. Then I went into C:\Users\*****\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Libraries and copied the *.itl file from April 2017. I put this file into C:\Users\madma\Music\iTunes and rename it "iTunes Library.itl".
This doesn't solve the problem, when I try and run iTunes I still get the same error:
"The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created with a newer version of iTunes"

I've tried using even older iTunes Library files and I get the same error. In between attempts to run iTunes I uninstall iTunes, restart, reinstall iTunes by running the file I downloaded from Apple, "itunes64setup.exe", as Administrator and finally restart again.

Does anyone know how I can solve this issue?

Is there an iTunes version in between version 12.4.3 and 12.7 that I should try?
Am I doing something wrong when trying to replace the newest iTunes Library.itl file with an older version?
Any help with this issue would be appreciated. Thanks.
