iOS Mail App Not Connecting to School Mail Server

On my iPad Mini 4, I still have the iOS 10.3.3 software. My Mail app is signed into three emails: my personal Gmail, my iCloud, and my school email (an email that uses Gmail but ends with @nv.ccsd.net). When I type in a name, it should pop up with that person's name, whether a teacher or a student, and their email, because their email is connected to the @nv.ccsd.net server. However, that has suddenly stopped working, even connected to my school's Wi-Fi. I am a student, btw. Is the Mail app forcing me to update to iOS 11 by not connecting to the email server on iOS 10, or is it just a temporary hiccup in the system? I can still send and receive emails just fine for all of the emails. It is just not showing me the emails in the school server. Please help! I don't know how to fix this, nor what is causing it.
