iSight Camera not working
I have suddenly lost my iSight camera
In the system report it says that there is no camera present
I have tried the following:-
Reset both the PRAM and the SMC.
Booted from an external drive with a previous version of the OS (El Capitan)
Re seated the Isight camera connector on the I/O board
Entered various Terminal commands suggested elsewhere to reset the camera controller.
The auto brightness function still works OK as does the headphone jack as does the magsafe connector
I have run the AHT which returns no problems found.
Does the AHT test the I/O board? If it doesn't is there a test I can run to check it?
It seems that replacing the camera is not too easy, but the I/O board is simple enough, what is the balance of probability that it is the board rather than the camera?
My MBA is a mid 2012 model, 4Gb Ram, 256Gb SSD running Sierra 10.12.6
Thanks for any advice
