Should I fix my MacPro or just buy a new one?

So I have had my 15" Pro for about 2.5 years, took it in as it would shut down on me or have a black screen constantly and it turns out one of my boards is starting to corrode. Guys at the store said it would be $1153 plus tax to fix as it is not covered under warranty (apparently water somehow got inside) and since I paid $2700 for this computer I think it is ridiculous. Anyway question is should I pay and repair it or just get a new one? This time the 13" new edition laptop. Any other recommendation is welcome too!!

If it's a 2014 or earlier, it isn't even worth that much. I'd consider the $1153 a "discount" on a new MBP. A refurb would bring the cost down even more, but I've only seen a handful of 13" 2017s in there so far. Still they change on a daily basis, so who knows?
