MBP 2011 U I O Keys Stopped Working

My 2011 MacBookPro (yeah, still running Lion, I just like the way it looks) after 6 1/2 years of amazing service came up with a problem this morning.  The U, I, and O keys no longer work.  I've

reset the PRAM and SMC

Gone into System Preferences and toggled the mouse keys buttons

Booted in Safe Mode

Ditto in Recovery Mode

All with no changes.  Also ran Apple Hardware Test with no faults

Is there anything else it might be?

Thanks!

Failures of keys along the same row or along the same column are almost always Hardware problems.

These modern keyboards have nothing repairable inside.

If you cannot get the keyboard replaced, you would need to use an external USB keyboard instead.

Judging from the number of disgruntled users of this model-year 15-in MacBook Pro, there should be lots of working spare parts on the used market these days.

Thanks so much for your response.  I was hoping that it wouldn't be an insoluble hardware problem given passing the Hardware test with flying colours, but was prepared for the worst.  It's actually a 17 inch, and has put in six-plus years of service above and beyond the call.  Fortunately, it went into a dignified semi-retirement a couple months ago, but I'd still like it to be more than a heavy DVD player.
