Tones Lost With iTunes Update

So, I just got my iPhone 8 and I'm in the process of moving all my stuff from my old 6 to the 8...

Screeeeeeeech!

Big problem! My tones have disappeared and I can't figure out how to put them on the 8. They are custom tones, not ones from an app or bought from the iTunes store. I've been trying to figure this out for the last 7 hours and I still have no idea how to do it.

I have the tones saved on my computer and a portable hard drive, but I can't get iTunes to add them to my library. I even went as far as plugging in my 6 and seeing if I could just move them onto the 8 and NOTHING!

Help guys, I'm going nuts!
