Apple Watch not starting up

So my girlfriend has an Apple Watch Series 1 and she doesn't remember the last time she used it, I asked her if I could use it since she didn't and I noticed that nothing happened when I tried to turn it on. I assumed it was completely dead so I plugged it in and the charging snake screen appeared. I went downstairs for a few hours and came back and noticed it still hadn't started up. I figured it still needed more time charging so when I finally went home I left it charging for at least two days and still nothing happened. I looked up what to do if this happened and I saw that I could try hard resetting it.. Holding the lock button and the digitial crown for 10 seconds, that did nothing. I was wondering if there were any other alternatives to try to get it to turn on.
