how to create Sierra bootable disk?

Hi everybody

I have downloaded Sierra from the App Store.

Can i create a Sierra USB bootable disk?

I want to install a fresh copy of Sierra, not upgrade.

Thanks,

Abdelaal

Hi

The download size is about 4.8 gig and would want a capacity of 8 gig on a USB stick or similar.

I used the command line, but there are other ways.

and this one may be better (which I used)...

I tried using the various ways suggested like erasing an old usb stick and then using the Terminal commands and every time it had a problem. In the end I downloaded this installer free (1.4 MB's) and it did it all without me doing anything more than inserting removable disk (USB disk), selecting install (which I had downloaded to Applications) and clicked on "Create Installer".  Simple and it works. Why Apple make everthing so complicated with Terminal commands and changing bootable disk name etc., I have no idea, however, don't waste your valuable time as, this does it all for you:  https://macdaddy.io/install-disk-creator/

One of the easiest option to create bootable USB using Diskmaker X . Check below link to create bootable usb using Diskmaker app....
