All Calendar events disappeared while trying to...

I thought I'd like to get the Calendar on my new iMac (Sierra 10.12.6) to sync with my Calendar on my Galaxy Note5 so I don't have to always double enter events. I have used iCal for years and all my events transferred to the new Calendar on my new computer.

Once I started the transfer from computer to iCloud, I kept getting error messages that the events couldn't be transferred. But then all my events disappeared.

I no longer want to sync the two. I just simply want my events back on Calendar on my iMac. Is there a way to restore my Calendar from Time Machine, or is there some other solution? I tried searching the archives for a fix, but they seem to be all years old.

Any help would be appreciated.
