iTunes Restore Error

Trying to restore an ipod 6th generation though windows, I noticed a few things today.

1) when the restore was working it was saying 5 hours!

2) when it did finish, I was met with an unknown error has occurred 3503

if you are experiencing this error, please contact apple support by phone or chat so that they can gather log files and have a look.
