Way to recover WiFi password?
I have a secured WiFi network that my iPad is connected to... but I want to also want to log my iPhone into the network as well but cannot remember the password. Is there a way that you can see the password like you can do on a mac or pc?
Thanks!
No.
Assuming that you want to connect to the same network that your Mac (?) is on and you created the network, open Keychain Access on the Mac. If you log in with administrator privileges you can see the password there.
Wouldn't that be the password that you are looking for? Is this what you are trying to do????
To recover or change the network password you must open an administrative session with your router. This can usually be done with a browser connecting to the LAN address 192.168.1.1 (your router). Your router will require an administrator userid and password. These may have been left as the defaults from the router manufacturer (if you have changed them and don't remember them you may have to reset your router to factory settings). See your router's documentation for the defaults. Once you have an administrative session you can see the network password and/or change it to something you will remember. See the router documentation for details on how to do this.
Not quite. Computers are on one network while other peripheral devices are on another. My computer is logged on using Cisco NAC Agent (for encryption) but there is another network using just WPA. I have my iPad set up... but I cannot figure out how to view the password for the wifi on it. It just automatically connects. Tried to view the connection but it doesn't show the network key.
I totally admit to not being" WiFi network set up savvy". You can tell by the way I worded the statement. But am I missing something on this one - and I probably am ... if the OP is trying to connect his iPhone to his own WiFi network that he was using with a Mac (if that is what he was doing) - would he not be able to recover that password by using Keycahin Access like I described?
I used Keychain Access (on my MacBook) to recover passwords to previously joined networks at a friend's house and at my brother's house so I could use my iPad and iPod Touch there without having to ask for the passwords again.
OK. Now you answered the question that I posed to JimHdk. Like I said, I don't totally understand the process. I set up my one and only WiFi network four years ago and will need a refresher course should I need to do it again.

LexDoc-
As JimHdk suggested, you likely will have to reset your WiFi router to factory default. There should be a procedure mentioned in the router's manual, and may be something like sticking a paperclip in a hole while turning on the power. Of course you will need to reset the password on all devices that connect to the router.

Thanks Fred, but like I said earlier... I do not have access to the router. This isn't a home connection.

Actually, you never actually said that you don't have access to the router. There is no way to view a network password on your iPad. You should talk to someone who is administering your network to get a password for your iPhone.
Yes, you can but need to download wifipasswords app from app store. or you can use the keygen app in Mac
Why did you revive a thread that has not been posted on for seven years?
