iTunes PC Program Error the application was una...

When I run iTunes after upgrading I'm getting the error the application was unable to start correctly 0xc00007b, Click OK to close the application.

 

I have tried uninstalling iTunes and all apple products on my PC and reinstalled iTunes and I get the same error.

 

Any advice?  Thanks

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to pre-install the Microsoft Universal C Runtime.

I´ve done ALL steps on box 2  and again same message: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application".

No antivirus during install - last version of installer - administrator account - support documents HT201668, HT204275 and others at no avail....... :-(

Os there a new solution out there ???

What anti-virus do you have? A couple of AVG users found they had to completely remove it before they could install iTunes properly. You might also want to install 12.5.5.5 rather than 12.6.0.100. If you do that you'll also need to roll back the library database as shown in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.

I've gone through all steps as well, multiple times. I even tried installing the last version that I know worked on my machine. No dice. I don't know if Microsoft changed something with the Windows 10 OS or what, but this is highly annoying. I can't sync my iPhone at all.



Right click on the itunes icon and click on the always open out of sandbox, should fix it
