Updating OS

I am running Adobe CS4 and use Illustrator and PhotoShop extensively.  Would there be a problem with the functionality of CS4 if I update my current 10.9.5 OS?  I'm currently experiencing crashes with my Adobe Bridge.

If you need to see it clearer just click and hold the image whilst dragging it down onto the Preview app dock icon..

If you are having problems with Bridge then it is better resolving the problem before upgrading to a new OS as this will probably not solve the issue.
