iTunes on Windows makes tri tone message sound!

Recently I can't listen to music anymore in iTunes on my windows pc! It keeps making that tri tone message sound every minute or so. I have tried to google for it, but all I get are posts about this problem on the iPhone, not on the pc. I have been looking through all the menus in iTunes but I can't find anything. I have no new messages or mail on icloud.com. What can be the cause of this?

No iPhone or iPad is connected to my machine, and I have only iTunes installed from Apple, nothing else.

You can try this. Go to Control Panel > Sound. Select Click Sounds at the top. Scroll down to iTunes:

Make sure the sounds for iTunes are set to none. See if this resolves you issue.
