Enable AHCI on 2017 Macbook for dual boot Linux...
Hi guys,
I have a 2017 Macbook. I'm very happy with it and want to dual boot Linux on it for some studies I'm doing.
I'm having issues in the install for Linux where the install doesn't recognize my Hard Drive/SSD and I was told that I have to enable AHCI on my Macbook.
Does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks!
All Mac hardware use AHCI by default. There is nothing to set.
Thank you for your reply. I thought that, too. But this is what I was told on the Linux forum.
Is there any way that I can verify that the 2017 Macbook has AHCI enabled automatically?
Mac hardware already uses AHCI, so it's enabled in the system. There is nothing for the user to do. If you want to learn how to install Linux on a Mac, then visit Ubuntu's site.
