Cannot play iPad music through computer

I upgraded to IOS11 (iPad Air 2 or whatever it's called) this morning. Have a ton of music on my iPad, can play and see it all on my iPad. However, when I connect to my computer I can only see the purchased iPad music in iTunes. Had no problems seeing/playing my iPad music on my computer prior to this update. Any assistance is much appreciated.
