"An error occurred" Apple Music on Mac

Basically whenever I try to search something up on Apple Music on Mac, when I hit enter, it just comes up with "an error occurred" with a button saying retry, which does nothing. It's been like this for like a week or two, and it's super frustrating. It works perfectly on other devices, but not on mac. And it's only the search function, everything else works fine like the browse section and Apple Music playlists. In fact I'm even able to search on the iTunes store but not Apple Music. Early 2014 MacBook Air running on OS X 10.9.5 (I know it's old, but it was working even a few weeks ago on Mavericks despite High Sierra coming up, so I don't know if the OS would have anything to do with it.)
