is VTDecoderXPCService needed with OS Sierra

Is VTDecoder XPC Service (part of OS Lion) needed with OS Sierra? Takes up unnecessary CPU space.

I doubt it. Try going to Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor and quit the process. See if your computer runs normally.
