Warranty expired when bought a new iMac

Hi,

I bought a brand new iMa at Currys UK and when I checked the warranty status the checker said that the hardware warranty and telephone assistance has expired. I would like my warranty from the day I purchased the machine. Does anyone know what to do? I have the receipt from Currys. Can I upload it somewhere as an evidence?
