Connect my 2009 MBP to my 2013 iMac?

Hi,

I want to know if there is a way to connect my 2009 MBP to my 2013 iMac?

MBP has a mini display port.

iMac has a thunderbolt connection.

I want to use the MBP as an extension of my iMac screen. Will a thunderbolt cable do the job?

No. A MacBook Pro doesn't support video in and can only be used as a display by setting up Virtual Network Computing.
