If I take my watch off while doing some kettle ...

While using an Apple Watch series 2 during a workout I needed to take the watch off for a couple segments as to not damage it. Does the workout automatically pause when removed? Does it resume automatically when put back on and unlocked?

To pause a workout, follow the instructions here:

• End, pause, or lock  

Alternatively, removing your Apple Watch will cause the workout to pause automatically.

To resume it after having removed your Apple Watch from your wrist and also after having later replaced and unlocked it, go to the Workout app, swipe to the leftmost screen and tap on Resume.
