I am not receiving any emails on my iPad

My iPad has the current version. 60 GB. I had three email addresses in this iPad. When I touch the icon for  Mail it goes to a blank white screen and nothing boots up then 30 seconds later it goes back to my homepage. Of course I don't have access to any of the email addresses . I have tried shutting it down and turning it back on, I deleted primary email address and reinstalled. These things did not work.
