Where can I buy a copy of Yosemite?

I have just upgraded my MacBook Pro (13 inch Mid 2012) to Sierra. Chaos ensued! My previous OS was Mountain Lion. Is it possible to acquire a new copy of Yosemite to load as an "update" over Sierra, to get rid of it? I have a time machine backup of Mountain Lion to go back to, but I would still want a new version of Yosemite to upgrade with. Can I buy it from a secret corner of the App Store?

Go to a physical Apple Store and ask for a copy of it.

Great, Thanks..!

it may no longer be availbe from the App Store

it was on the developer site but it appears to be gone from that as well.

At this time the on-line availably of OS X iterations you did not purchase at the time they were available to the public may be limited to El Capitan and Sierra (outside of 10.5 and 10.6 which can be purchased on line)

The system requirements between 10.10 and 10.12 are pretty much the same if your system is eligible for both, so not knowing the details of the "chaos" it may be something that is easily remedied.

You may post an EtreCheck report for futher analyis. The link is www.etrecheck.com
