iTunes will not delete photos from iPhone after...

I transferred photos from my iPhone 6 via iTunes.

I hit Delete from iPhone after transfer.

Photos are still on iPhone.

Does anyone know a quick way to Delete photos from iPhone.

I need to send phone back and want it clean.
