My ISP is also my mail server (Spectrum Business), which runs out of room regularly. When I clean up the server and come back to Mail those messages that were deleted on the server are gone in Mail. A relatively new development. Spectrum blames Mac, Mac blames spectrum. There are no controls on either side that address this. I want to retain my emails after they are deleted from the server. We have four Macs accessing the same accounts.
