Is It Safe To Use Cloned Boot Drive In Differen...

I bought a new 2017 iMac. Got it all set up and all my files transferred, all my apps installed and everything was set up just as I wanted... then the monitor started having dead pixels.

So, I got a replacement identical iMac.

If I clone the first iMac's boot drive (using Chronosync's clone option) and then use that clone on the replacement iMac is that going to cause any problems?  Or is it completely safe?

Thanks!

It's completely safe.

It's completely safe.

Thanks!

I guess my concern was that some software or the OS would sense some different hardware serial numbers or something and have a problem.

It won't be a problem. Just be sure to sign in using the same Apple ID as you have been using.
