iTunes 12 not syncing correctly onto iPhone

I recently updated iTunes to 12.5.1 and my iPhone 5s to iOS 10

Problem 1: I tend to download my own songs and manually add in custom lyrics on iTunes. When I check the lyrics on my computer, they properly display, but when I sync my music onto my phone the lyrics aren't there. I tried resyncing and restarting my computer and iPhone, but nothing works. This was working before I updated iTunes 12.4.3, but now none of my lyrics appear. My music is not part of Apple Music. I downloaded my own music.

For some reason, if I uncheck custom lyrics, sync my music, check custom lyrics, input my lyrics, and resync, the lyrics appear, but if I resync my phone again it will get rid of the lyrics and I need a more permanent solution. I need a way to sync lyrics.

Problem 2: I also like to have "show the composer in all views"; It shows the composer in iTunes on my computer, but on my iPhone it just shows the artist with no composer.

iPad as well. I have dozens and dozens of "custom lyrics" added, and it seems like they're randomly showing up on my iPad. I have deleted all the music and re-synced, and they're still missing.

When I plug my iPad into the PC and find it on iTunes under the -device-, "Get Info" shows the lyrics, but they are not showing up on my device during playback. I can't seem to find what is inconsistent. I'll have 2 songs on an album that don't display lyrics, but the rest do. Anyone else?

Update:

Problem 1: still a problem as of 9/24/17 with the most recent iTunes update of this time; I have found some temporary solutions: if you sync a new song or edit the info/data of an older song it will resync to the iPhone with lyrics while other unmodified/old songs will not sync with lyrics. Also unsyncing all music from my iPhone then syncing it back will make all songs have lyrics. While these solutions work, they become more tedious as my library gets bigger (having to unsync/resync 31+ hours of songs gets annoying). None of the recent iTunes updates have fixed this problem, and it seems nothing has been to address this problem. I would appreciate if anyone can find a more permanent solution that doesn't require resyncing all songs back to your phone everytime you add a song.
