HDD and SSD in macbook pro non retina 2012

I want to install a Samsung SSD in the place of the hdd and put the hdd in the optical drive bay.

    1) make my SSD as my booting disk and use hdd to keep my files .

    2) how to trim my ssd and is there any need to do so.

    3) shoud I do Raid0 with hdd and ssd and is there any side effects

2. Yes, enable TRIM:

To enable TRIM, first save all your open documents as this will reboot your Mac. Launch Terminal > type "sudo trimforce enable" (without the quotation marks) > enter your password > confirm that you want to enable trim > reboot your Mac.

To verify that TRIM is enabled, click the Apple icon in the top left of your screen. Choose About This Mac > System Report > SATA/SATA Express > Trim Support should say Yes.

3. It is the fastest way you can set up your Mac, but I probably would not, as you should use the same drives in a RAID 0/Striped RAID array, but more importantly, data is distributed across both drives, meaning it acts like one big one, and if either drive fails, all data is lost. Both drives must be backed up. See the following for instructions using Disk Utility: Use Disk Utility to Create a RAID 0 (Striped) Array

1. You will not be able to use them as separate disks with RAID 0.
