Why am I being charged by song if I am in 3 months free?

 

If you are in the Store section, songs will have prices and you can buy them and keep even after the subscription ends.

If you are in the Apple Music subscription service sections (For You, Browse), songs will have no prices, and you can download them without being charged, but they will only work for as long as you are subscribed.

Being subscribed to Apple Music, does not stop you from being able to outright buy songs and albums if you want.
