Sierra OSX and bamboo pad
hi ,
i have upgraded my iMac to Sierra and i can t use my bamboo pad because the drivers are not compatible.
Do you know if wacom has released a new version of the driver for Sierra or do you have any other suggestions?
thank you
It doesn't appear they have released a compatible driver yet.

I too have a Wacom Bamboo, CTH-661. It has been a workhorse for me for several years. It was working fine one hour ago. Did macOS Sierra just brick my fine-functioning tablet? Are there 3rd party drivers for tablets anywhere?
No panic, please! I had the same thing with old good Bamboo Fun... but now it works
Simple magic: go to Wacom support site and install "Latest drivers for Business Solutions interactive displays" here
Okay, not sure if you solved this issue yet, but by simply installing an older version of the drivers, I was able to get mine running.
Wacom announced on twitter that they are building a new driver for their bamboo users who work with Sierra!
Hey,I have found out a solution, worked on my bamboo CTL-671. Here is the steps:
1)Download the 5.3.6-6.dmg file and mount it
2)install the pkg, and it will fail, KEEP the dmg mounted
3)Download the “Pacifist” and use it to extract the package inside the pkg
4)You will need to copy the extracted file to the destiny folder by yourself(e.g. the “contentver” file inside the package should be copy to /tmp use Shift+Command+G), then you will need to double click the PenTablet.prefPane and select change in the System Preference.
5)Reboot your computer and everything will be just fine. May have bugs but it worked!
P.S:At first, I thought it’s the changed of system SDK led to the installation failure but not the driver itself, and now it seem that the result support my theory .In fact, if Wacom is willing to let bamboo users use their bamboo on Sierra, they just need to update some specific scripts. So now you can see that it’s not about the incompatible driver make us embarrassed, but the bad attitude towards bamboo users.
There was an old saying in China “Sharp tools make good works.工欲善其事,必先利其器”, for now, we can’t expect Wacom will care about the cheap module bamboo, so if possible, just go ahead and buy a new cintiq or intuos, they can always get the new official driver first(Certainly there has no thirty-party driver)
There is also a solution——use the Windows, though I thought install a Windows on a Mac is a disgrace to the Mac, sometimes it has advantages. I prefer to install Windows in EFI mode to the external thunderbolt hard drives, you can also use the Parallels Desktop or just using the Bootcamp.
Thanks for your reading, sorry for my poor English, hope you can understand and it will be of help to you! And please pass this solution to more bamboo mac users!
But the additional buttons don't work. You can't control a tablet with Wacom software.
Wacom have just released the driver for Mac Sierra a few days ago.

Great! This is version pentablet_5.3.7-6.dmg, and this works with my Bamboo MTE-450.
By the way: on the European website https://www.wacom.eu/register/Home this file can not be found! Very strange, Mr. Wacom!
Does not work for me
I have this same tablet but this solution at first was not working for me. Doing a remove tablet from the wacom utility and installing the new driver then made it work. Thanks
Very good! I'm happy for you!
I got informed by macOS Sierra that my previous driver (5.3.6-6) wasn't compatible when I upgraded this weekend. So I removed the driver using Wacom's utility (as recommended), then downloaded and installed the newest driver, (5.3.7-6). It installs Ok, but says it can't find my Bamboo One (CTE-660). Dug out my older Bamboo tablet (MTE-450A), plugged it in, and that works. What's really confusing is that there are multiple entries on the Bamboo drivers page at https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/bamboo-support but they all seem to link to the same driver download. Clearly, this driver's not designed for the Bamboo One, does Wacom have a driver available that does support it on macOS Sierra?
