Songs are skipping

I am very disappointed that with the new iOS 11 my songs (from my own iTunes library) skip mid-song to other songs.

This has been going on for years, through 4 different iPhones and Music upgrades on the iPhone.

A song will play for a few seconds, then skip to another song, then another, etc.

I've tried rebooting the iPhone and the same skipping occurs.

I have run diagnostic tests on my iPhone and there is nothing wrong with the phone. It works perfectly with all other functions.

I have reported this several times to Apple, but nothing has been done to correct the problem.
