iTunes missing personal albums loaded in past

iPad Air 2 iOs 11

iTunes Version 12

Prior to updating iTunes on Mac to version 12 I had several albums that I loaded from my CD's. They are missing. Apple support by phone looked in my MAC and a separate hard drive to find.

They are still on my iPad.

Is there a way to get them from the iPad on to the MAC?
