Desktop and Documents files disappeared after i...

Hi,

In order to change my iCloud password today I had to logout of iCloud and re login. While logging out I was asked if it was ok that all Desktop and Documents files would be removed from my Mac, as they will be kept in the iCloud drive, so I agreed to that. Now I am logged back in with my new iCloud password, but all files are gone on the Desktop and in Documents.

I can still see them on the iCloud drive WEB APPLICATION, but the folders are empty on the iCloud Drive on my Mac with a faded/dotted iCloud icon next to it.

How do I get the files back to my Mac?
