Will my MacBook Pro Mid become slower if I repl...

Hello everyone,

I have a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 and I changed the HDD that came with it for a 500gb Samsung 850 Evo and upgraded ram memory from 4gb to 8gb.
Now I wanted to know if my macbook would become slower if I replaced the optical drive with the hard drive disk that came with the computer, using a caddy. I've also considered buying a new SSD, but a 500gb Samsung 850 Evo is quite expensive and I've heard it's better if you use the very same SSD that you have on the disk bay on the caddy, so maybe buying a 250gb is not a good idea.
Initially I wouldn't truly use the new disk, but soon I'll need to use bootcamp and install windows on my laptop to use MathCad, so I wanted to have windows on one disk (the one on the optical bay) and MacOs on the other (main disk).

I hope you can help me, this is my very first post

No, it won't be slower. But you will need to put the HDD back in its place. A drive in the optical drive hole will not be considered an internal drive so you do want to keep the HDD.

I covered this in your other post. Trade the Samsung for something different. I would urge getting one from OWC. Or swap the one you have for an 840 Evo which should work.

And, this isn't your first post. I've already replied in your first one.
