Mail formatting
I just spent an hour composing a complicated memo to my stock broker. It was pretty long. After I sent it, I went back and printed the sent file. It printed with no automatic right returns and the font size was about 3 point. Too small to read without great difficulty.
Is this the format in which it was received by my broker? I'm embarrassed if that is the way my mail is received.
Do I need to insert manual returns at the end of where I think the line should end?
I've notice that some mail I receive also come without automatic right returns.
I see lots of old comments on this, but nothing very recent on these forums. Is there a way to force these automatic returns?
I'm running Safari 10.12.6 on a 27" iMac. Using Apple Mail. Don't really want to change my mail program.
Help please!
First try composing and sending an email while in Safe Mode (Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode).

More comments I'm adding. I just did an exhaustive search of all the Apple User Communities. There is not one for Apple Mail. I find this interesting. Not sure this is the best place to have posted my above question. I'm sure there are many others frustrated with Mail and wanting a forum to exchange ideas and fixes.
Is MAIL not supported by Apple any more? Maybe that is why it has problems?
Is there a better place to post the above question?
I'll ask the hosts to relocate your post to the Sierra community.
Apple still supports Mail.
Since you had a problem with printing, try resetting the printing system.
macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system
Thanks for moving this to the correct community.
No, it's not a printing problem. I looked at the sent file on my screen and the lines had no automatic returns. Some of the lines included several sentences. Some earlier comments indicate that this is a problem with the receiver's email program and how it does or does not handle automatic right returns. These were all within the Apple Mail world and stored on the drive on my iMac.
This is the first time I've looked at a sent file and then tried to print it. I'll do some more checking with some other files. In the mean time I'm inserting right returns where I think the page should end. They don't look good on the receiving end, but at least they are readable.
I can't find a user forum in the Apple Support system that specifically addresses Mail problems. So not sure if this will get read by many. Google has links to many comments in the Apple Support page, but most of them are a few years old.
Thanks for your reply. Any other ideas?
