Editing an emailed pdf

I need to correct a pdf document that has been sent to me.  I have a new MacBook with Sierra 10.12.4  How do I do this? thanks

You would have to install a pdf editor such as Adobe Acrobat.

Actually Reader is only a Reader, for editing the full Acrobat is required. And that costs infinitely more.

Yes. I forgot the name of it. lol my bad.

Once you have had to pay for it you never forget.

FWIW, there are alternatives to Adobe Acrobat, some free, some not. But it has to be an editor.

To me, when dialabrain mentioned Adobe Acrobat, I understood that to be the real deal, and not Reader.

As it was when first posted it said Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is a thing, but it's the wrong thing.

I assume a corrective edit has been applied.

Are there any free pdf editors which are as good as Acrobat?  I only need to do basic editing to the text.

Thanks so much

Personally I don't know. I don't do any PDF editing so I haven't tried any.

No. Writing a decent PDF Editor is expensive. Look in the Mac App Store, and look for a balance between the most star rating and your budget.

No, Adobe are not in the charity business. And as pdf is their format they charge whatever they like.

To edit the PDF text, you can use online free PDF editor. I recommend PDF Filler.

PDF Filler is a web-based free PDF Editor to manipulate PDF online. It supports multiple ways to upload PDF files into its server for free editing. Users are allowed to edit text, view, highlight, sign, add images, search PDF for free.

Also, there are other free PDF Editor for choice: PDF Escape, PDF Buddy, etc.
