Problem with software launch preference in Sierra

I just installed Sierra. Now docs created and saved in WORD (.docx) launch using PAGES. How do I get the software launch preference changed back to WORD?

Sierra is 10.12.6. WORD is Word 2008 for Mac, v 12.0.0

Usually you would select a doc file, execute "Get Info" (command-i), then select word in the "Open with" part of the Get Info window.  Make sure you select "Use this application to open all documents like this one."
