integrating music on cloud

i am planning to get a new macbook pro yay!  here is my question

I have an older macair, and my music is currently on an old pc based laptop, and backed up on an old ipod.  i have icloud account and memory.  how can i best put my music on all my devices without using up memory space on the new mac?  I spend a lot of time putting my CD collection on itunes, but need to get rid of the PC

these are not itunes purchases, but my own CD music - 20,000 songs in all

was thinking of putting the music on my old macair and using it as the music and photo archive.  can i do all this?
