Stuck in headphone mode with my iPad mini 4.&nb...

IPad mini 4 stuck in headphone mode.  Haven’t used headphone in weeks and this just started to happen after the iPad was unplugged from charger.  Did all the usual remedies and nothing happened.  Amy suggestions?

In the case of the iPhone Apple recommends taking it for service.

There are reports the issue has been resolved by carefully removing debris that may have built up in the jack but this approach would clearly be at your own risk.
