Audio control issue

Since upgrading to high sierra the audio control has malfunction, there are some solution on the internet to resolve the issue but it does not work on my pro (mid 2010's)- the solution being shared around is to downgrade the bit rate configuration of audio midi setup from 24bit to 16 bit @(44.1khz) this does not work on my pro (mid 2010's). I have tried re-installing(clean) the whole OS it did restore the audio control but after a few re-start its back to no audio control again.

Support, is there another way to restore the audio control?
