why is my MacBook Pro version macOS 10.13 overh...

I’ve been having problems with my MacBook Pro 17”, it overheats as soon as I power up, it’s slow and doesn’t function properly, what should I do to fix these issues?

It started several months ago, possibly a year ago.

I purchased my MacBook Pro 17” from Best Buy PDX it was either 2010 or 2011.

I’ve preformed several First Aids, cleaned the external parts of my Mac and several failed Time Machine attempts.  None of which fixed the issues.

Now it’s stuck on powering up and has been for several hours.  At first I thought it was downloading, realizing several hours is a bit much and am attempting a restore command
